Yesterday was awesome. Okay, maybe it was awesome in the morning but wasn't at night, HAHA.
Firstly, I got back my ballet exam results during my ballet class in the morning. AND I GOT DISTINCTION! Well, I'm not going to announce my results here but yeah, I got distinction. Honestly, I expected myself to get a merit or something because I did a mistake during my character dance, which carries 20 marks out of the whole 100 marks (I think). And also, I didn't think I did very well in the exam this time round. Since I started ballet years ago, I never really set high hopes but ever since my first exam (I got distinction for that), I decided that I would want to get a distinction every single year. So yeah, so far, I've indeed gotten distinction every year. I hope I will get another one next year.
I spent my Saturday evening at PSC, as usual. Firstly, it was Jazz Technique and Jose was literally forcing us to do centre splits and some really aching exercises. Out of Trev, Ewan and Jose, JOSE IS THE MOST TORTUROUS. Oh well, after the warm up part, which took more than half an hour because everyone was screaming of pain, we started on "across the floor" and stuff. After Jazz Technique was HHI. HHI wasn't that bad because there wasn't much warm up. Afterall, it's hip hop. It went pretty well and the choreo seemed kind of cool.
And after that, FLUID had a 15 minute break, before having lessons with Jose. There were only 6 of us present - Saher, Syazana, Jane, Elfie, Chelsea and me. And Jose said that he's going to mainly work on technique. Therefore, we started on body conditioning. And it was BAD, seriously bad. He made us do crunches for the duration of a few songs. And we had to do crunches, right and left crunches, lifting up one leg, the other leg, etc. It was seriously torturous. And then we had to lift up our foot and leave it 1cm above the floor and we had to stay there for 2 to 3 minutes. And if anyone of us touches the floor, we will have to restart the whole exercise.
And Jose was practically forcing us and pushing us through all the exercises. In the end, we spents time doing technique and across the floor. Oh and for SOTA Year 3 students (especially dance students) who went chicago for the overseas immersion programme, JOSE USED TO TEACH DANCE AT CHICAGO SCHOOL OF ARTS. Saher was naming him all the dance and theatre teachers in Chicago School of Arts and Jose knows them. But I guess the American standard, compared to Asian standard is really different. Jose said that he's working with Aunty KP and could probably bring FLUID to America for dance lessons.
But anyway, the point of all that is, I'm currently suffering from aches all over my body. Like what Jose said yesterday, all of us is bound to feel pain the next day (referring to today). But I guess for the sake of my sexy abs, I shall not complain :)
I HAVE MORE.
1. It was during our volleyball tournament last year. Each group is supposed to have our lunch in between games, meaning that we have our lunch when it's not our turn to compete. For our group, we only had a 20 minute gap/break for our lunch. But coincidentally, all stalls in the canteen were closed and the bookshop ran out of cup noodles. We didnt know what to do and we needed energy, plus most of us were really hungry. Without thinking much, Pearl and me volunteered to run to Macs to buy lunch for our group, BUT WE ONLY HAD 20 MINUTES (since our next game starts in 20 minutes). Therefore, Pearl and me dashed all the way to Macs, which was more than 1km away from our school, ordered food for 7 to 8 of the members in our volleyball team, and dashed back to school. We came back to school in around 15 minutes and it all just seemed like a miracle. Btw, Mr Jae allowed us to go to Macs during this tournament to get food, provided we come back in time for the game. If we don't reach in time for the game, our team is disqualified. And that's why I said it's amazing how some things, which seemed impossible, became possible once we tried.
2. One of the our last theatre lessons before the end of year (last year), it was supposed to be a 4 hour theatre lesson and Lofty allowed us to do anything we want/study for our upcoming exams. We studied together in a group sitting on the red chairs, chatting/gossiping/walking around together, and camwhoring together, in the 4 hour. It was really fun.
3. I was after EOY exams last year. Elias was somehow walking with a water balloon, filling it up with water at the water cooler. We went up to him and wanted some balloons. And that gave us the idea of water fight. So the next day, we brought extra clothes to school and Pearl brought lots of balloons to school. We had a water fight at SCREW (our cool hangout place last year) after school that day. It was really fun.
4. Krish taught us this water game and all of us were stupid enough to play it. We ended up drinking so much water that we felt bloated.
5. IF THERE'S NO MR G, THERE'S NO ANIMAL FARM!
6. It was the prize giving ceremony for Math Olympiad last year. And shockly, Pearl was a math olympiad student last year, HAHA. Anyway, My Koh ended the ceremony by saying, "Who says students from SOTA can't do math?" That was really impactful!
7. This happened last year. We were playing Truth or Dare after school. Kat dared me to stand on the amphitheatre stage and sing a song. And we realised that G1 (all of them are on Year 3 now) just ended lesson. So Kat changed her dare and made me scream, "I love you _____." Of course, I didn't do that. I ended up screaming, "I love you Mrs Yeo!" because Mrs Yeo was walking by. And she said she love me too, as a student. HAHA.
That's all for now.
PLAN FOR TODAY (in order of which comes first):
1. Memorise my Audition Script ASAP (trying to do it now).
2. Have my lunch somewhere outside.
3. Finding my way to Bartley MRT and then to the audition venue (with mum).
4. Finding my way to Aljunied MRT and then to EZB BBQ shop to collect BBQ supplies (with mum).
5. Finding our way home.
6. Prepare BBQ food and wait for Sis and Dad to come home.
7. Go downstairs to the BBQ pit to BBQ, till whatever time we finish eating.
HAHA, sounds kind of all crammed up in one day. Throughout this whole June holidays, I'm sort of used to this kind of "cramming system". Some of my days are worse, but I would not elaborate on those. But tonight's BBQ is to celebrate dad's belated birthday. HIs birthday is supposed to be yesterday but because I had filming, followed by AYG rehearsal at night, we had to postpone the BBQ.
--------------------
Yeah, I have an audition later so finally, I have some time to come online. Anyway, I've uploaded the pics from my camera to my computer so here are the MOE filming photos. I'll upload them on Facebook soon, probably.
We had a bit of time to rest while others were filming so all of us camwhored a bit, even though Cherie and me camwhored the most.
This was funny because Cherie and me set our cameras on timer on top of some box. And Jathish happened to past by so we pulled him into the picture as well. HAHA.
I received an SMS from Huda yesterday (during filming) that there's going to be a free trial hip hop lesson for us today, followed by AYG rehearsal. The trial hip hop lesson is to test out a new Trainer, called Josey (but has a unique pronunciation). Remember, Ewan left. So anyway, Josey is HOT! He is, very! Btw, he's a guy. He's a Mexican, apparently. Anyway, he is a really funny and nice person and his choreo is still considered rather good.
Anyway, I was like 10 minutes late because of my filming before that. But anyway, we learnt his choreo and after that, the whole group of us had a break. We sat outside 7-eleven, as usual, and started chatting. Soon, Aunty KP called us back for rehearsal. It was for our AYG Performance this Sunday at Centrepoint. For those who still don't get it, AYG stands for Asian Youth Games. That, I'm sure, you must have heard of it before.
I think it's going to be pretty cool opportunity because we wil be present during the Torch Relay Match, which involved participants holding the AGY Torch, running from location to location, before finally arriving back (I think). And we get to interact with the athletes, and all that. So anyway, it was quite a difficult rehearsal because we're putting up 9 items in total and there are only 10 of us involved in the AYG performance.
These are the people involved: Tiffany, Chelsea, Narisha, Vanessa, Angie, Syazana, Aishah, Elfie, Jane and Me (Clarissa).

Remember my long and detailed (according to Clarice) post on our 6I chalet? Here it is. See Min has finally uploaded the BBQ pictures to Facebook so people like me can "steal" them. Anyway, I shall just dump the photos here with short captions at the bottom.
Remember my entry on Aisyah's birthday party? You can view it here.
Well, I've been on Facebook and saw the photos uploaded by others so I've kindly decided to post them here.

The pretty birthday girl making a speech before her party started. It's a masquerade party, so, check out her awesome hand-made mask! As most of All Stars were there, we performed Jai-Ho with Aisyah. They didn't have the edited version so we used the original Pussycat Dolls version. The back part of the song was a bit different from the one we used during the concert so we improvised and it turned out in a mess. But everyone had fun, just look at the smile on our faces.
Kimberly, who is also part of All Stars, performed her solo. She is one of the past winners (champion) of One Minute of Fame and she's also the champion of the SPAJC (Singapore Performing Arts Junior Championship) held at the Esplanade during IKPF (International Kids Performing Festival) last year. Initially, Romit wanted to join the competition. Honestly, Romit, you would have to be better than Kimberly in order to win but the question is, "Are you?"
